Solo-Yogyakarta-Semarang

Last Monday i went to Solo-Yogyakarta-Semarang. Well my schedule is quite tight there..so i'm not going to upload lots of pics here..(sorry for that). At the first day i went to Solo on monday..We arrived at Adi Sucipto International Airport, we took a car rent to drive us to some local place and also drop us to Yogyakarta. In Solo, me n my friend went to some local food restaurant there. We eat Tengkleng (it's a goat meat mix with it's lungs, womb, etc) it taste more like gulai. After we had lunch there we're going to Yogyakarta. It took an hour from Solo. We stay in 2 star hotel in Malioboro district. it's an area where u can find lots of affordable (cheap) stuff and lots of batik garments. Hotel location are great it's near everywhere and it's cleanliness excellent. Since it's a 2 star hotel don't expect any great breakfast, they only have 2 optionals which are beef teriyaki and Gudeg (Yogyakarta traditional food). If you wanna buy Batik and other gift, i would reccomend Mirota Batik. it's located infront of Beringharjo Market. All Price are fixed but it's really..really cheap..(even they sell necklace cheaper than in street market). U can also buy raminten Bakpia here (it is a traditional cake, more like moon cake but inside is a green bean). if u wanna buy things in street market.. i suggest you to bargain at the lowest price..example if they offer you IDR.40.000 you have to bargain to 10.000. At the end they will give you 15.000. So u should very..very..stingy there..LOL

It's some batik garments i found in beringharjo market

Whiz hotel in Yogyakarta

Room in Whiz hotel. has a separate toilet and shower room,
They only provide hanger instead of drower. very minimalist.

We stay a night in Yogyakarta and on tuesday we went to Semarang. It took 3 hours from Yogya. we go by taxi to local travel agent named "joglosemar". We only paid 40.000/pax for the bus, and we stop at simpang lima semarang. This bus is very convenience more like airport bus, Air conditioner, clean and also they give you snacks during the trip. We stay at panandaran hotel. It's an old 3 star hotel. facilities are ok but the cleanliness and it's services are great. Breakfast also great they provide lots of optionals unlike the whiz hotel. Well in Semarang i didn't go to local place.. we only spend times at mall.. ya..ya.. i know..so not interesting..haha..but we went to local food restaurant named "ayam Supar". It is popular by it's traditional fried chicken and oxtail. the taste are great and oxtail are brilliant. it looks so so but once u taste it..u will feel the soft texture of the oxtail and an excellent taste of fried chicken. Very reccomended foods.. If u wanna buy gifts it's located along the way.. u can buy bandeng presto and lumpia (local foods).

The famous fried chicken and oxtail soup..

Well, sorry i only give short information since not much things to tell..will update these cities place to hang out on my next trip.. :)

skinfood

Here is my review on my favorite skincare skinfood tomato series. At the first time i just randomly try this skin care but seems i'm in love with these products now. I only use 2 items from all series, which are tomato whitening serum and tomato whitening cream. I use tomato whitening serum every night and morning after i put toner (actually there is tomato skin toner but i use other brand). and for the whitening cream i only wear it at night after i applied the tomato serum. what i like from this skin care is this products not oily and very light to wear. It is absorbed very well on my skin and give a tangible effects after 2 weeks. My skin become smoother, lack of dullness and reduce my dark spot. it's also has a good soft scent. However it may gives different effects on different people...so i can't guarantee if it's works well on your skin or not. :)

on left side is Tomato whitening cream and on right side is tomato serum

It has plastic pump which i love more efficient, and the cream are more gel texture actually, dunno why they call it cream.(sorry for the bad captures, something wrong with my camera phone)

The conclusion is i reccomend this skincare series for those who have skin dullness and dark spot or acne scars. This products also great for oily skin, Hope this work for you too..

place to go in Bali

This March i went to Bali with my Mate. we only spend 3 days and 2 nights there. I went to Bali more than 5 times.. So this time i went to place that i never had an opportunity to go there before. (usually i shop a lot and go to sight seeing places). In this trip i only relax, eat and enjoy doing nothing..LOL.

We stayed at Conrad Hotel, it is in Jalan Pratama 168 Tanjung Benoa On the Coast of Nusa Dua. We stayed at suite room. Since my friend is a member of Conrad Hotel we got a free upgrade from deluxe to suite room. Conrad is pretty big hotel it has beautifull wedding chapel. and also big pools. They also provide afternoon tea every 3 to 5 pm and cocktail every 5 to 7pm.

This is the chapel..

This is the pool taken from Lobby

This is me enjoy my afternoon tea in front of suite room private pool

For Dinner we go to Ayana Hotel, where we can eat and enjoy a romantic dinner at Rock Bar.it's located in Jl Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran. The hotels are great.. and Rock Bar also cool.. it's right in the cliff where blue oceans are right below you..so u can see a beautifull sunset there..foods are great and a little bit expensive. But still acceptable.

This is Rock Bar taken from up side

To reach Rock bar we use Lift from up the cliff to rock bar. Since Ayana Hotel located quite far from main street i suggest you to rent a car rather than use taxi. Rock bar are so convenience with it's bed like sofa. and u can see ocean directly. Because the partician are made from glass.

ocean right in front of u

Last place that i went is Bvlgari Hotel & resort. it's located inJalan Goa Lempeh, Banjar Dinas Kangin - Uluwatu. it's in the bottom side of Bali. This Hotel is Expensive.. around USD 800/ night. We only went here for fancy dinner at Il restorante (italian restaurant) it cost around USD 130/pax. But the food are excellent and good view also..

Taken from IL restorante

Sunset View..

Entrance Lobby

Bvlgari hotel & resort are big and it was located on a cliff. you have to get to the restaurant by shuttle golf car. Since it's quite far from the lobby. Services are great they are fluent in english and japanese. really high class hospitality. dress code si smart casual and you need to do reservation first. The security is very tight, so they won't let you in if u're not listed on the guess reservation list.

Well i hope this blog can help you.. If u wanna find other experience.. :)

Cheers..

Hokkaido restaurant

If you're Japanese food lover, you can go to Imperial Arya Duta Hotel - Karawaci. Here you can find Japanese restaurant named Hokkaido. The restaurant is located near the sport club lobby. It also provide buffet in some special occasion.

The hospitality here are good, the waitress are friendly and responsive. They also fluent in English, so u don't need to worry to ask for further assistance to them if u're a foreigner. Last week i went there with my Mate, and i order sushi - sashimi combo. The combo already include miso soup and cawan mushi.

cawan mushi and salad..

sushi & salmon combo..

Price here reasonable for the hotel rate. food taste great..all sushi and salmon are fresh here. I will recommended this restaurant for sushi lovers..

cheers..

my daily office make up

Well i think i should review a little bit about grooming here..Even i'm not a make up artist but i've been took make up course in some make up school. I just wanna share my daily office make up. (ya..ya..so not important.. ;p ) Maybe this can help girls who totally clueless about basic make up.

Let's start with knowing your skin type. This is very important because u should pick a right products based on ur skin type. My skin face is normal with oily combination on my T-zone. I have no problem with pimples but have problem with big pores around my nose, which i hate so much because black head easily come up on my nose area.

First thing to be done everyday twice a day is cleansing stage, u have to keep ur face clean and health.

Cleansing stage :
1. i use milky make up remover, dab it into 5 areas and then blend it gently with light massage all over my face. (try to lift up ur face while massage). and then i wipe it with cotton and make sure no milk left on my face

2. i use face wash (u can use anything, i use acne from mentholatum). rinse ur face and dry it well with towel.

3. i use toner, put an amount on cotton and dab it onto ur face (don't wiped it). It helps to make ur pores smaller.

This is me without make up (and still not use working suits)

Next stage is wear ur make up base, some might not really important for u, so u can skip it..it's just my routine.

Make up Base :

1. Put eye cream around my eyes(this helps to reduce wrinkle and dark circle, use it twice a day)i use Vitamin e eye cream from Body shop.
2. Put moisturizer, sunblock, primer (to keep ur make up long lasting, i use pore primer to keep my pore smooth and less oily) and then use liquid foundation for natural look.(in this case i use Blemish balm cream which already content moisturizer, sunblock, and foundation).if u're in a rush BB cream is a good solution.
3. use eyeshadow base on ur eyelid and a concealer around ur eyes to cover dark circle and puffy eyes.(if u have one)

Here is some of my make up base. BB cream by Moistlabo, pore primer by Kaito, eyeshadow base by Canmake Tokyo and eye concealer by Sana. (but u can use any brand)

Make up stage :
1. use light eyeshadow on ur eyelid, blend it to all ur eyelid.(if u have monolid, u can blend it wider).
2. Use face powder with face brush to keep ur face look natural, i use palgantong theatrical powder (if u have oily skin, please use face powder instead of pact)
2. use liquid eyeliner to frame ur eyes. (u can use pencil if u're not used to). start from inside (near nose) and pull the line outside until the end of your eye line. u can make it longer if u like but don't too much
3. curl ur eyelash with eyelash curler, (if u have straight eyelash, but if u already have curl eyelash no need to do it.
4. cover ur eyelash with waterproof mascara (i used maybelline volume express) use it both on ur upper lash and under eyelash.
5. To help u look fresh, u can use blush on, u can pick any color that suits u, since my skin is yellow and a bit tanned i prefer revlon glamorous blush on -soft spoken pink.
6. Use color lip gloss rather than lipstick, this will makes u look more natural (i use tea rose lip gloss from maybelline)

Finishing touch stage :
1. curl ur hair using hair iron
2. correct ur make up with powder and cotton bud

This is me after make up and change into office suits.

I hope this natural daily make up can help u..it only took 10 minutes for make up..and 15 minutes to curl my hair.. but hey..u can just pony tail it.. :)

cheers..

Casis Restaurant

Hi.. Today i would like to write foods thing. (i should write this since long time ago..i'm a food lover!!). Actually i went to this restaurant 5 months ago. But guess i still remember how the food taste.. :).

Casis Restaurant is a luxury French Restaurant. it's located in Pavilion Apartement, Jl. K.H Mas Mansyur Kav.24 (next to Sudirman Walk). U will need to dress proper here,i dunno if there's a dress code here but i see all of them wear formal suits. Foods are pricey here, but it's worth it coz it's taste great!!. I order Black Lobster (i forget what's the name since it's france) it cost around IDR 500.000/portion. But it's big portion so one is enough. i prefer soup for appetizer (find the cheapest one for sure) and a lemon tea for drink.Lobster are really delicious it have soft texture and the sauce absorbs well on it.

yep,me n my lobster

Black lobster, highly recommended.

Well i think i lost the rest of pics, but anyway they have good hospitality and able to speak English fluently if u wanna bring your expatriate client or u wanna find some romantic and classy candle light dinner. Casis is the right place. Two thumbs up.

Have a great day..

Hong Kong - Macaw

I just touch down from Hong Kong today..before i forgot all.. it's better for me to write it down now.. ;p

I went to Hong Kong with my Mate (yes..still the same person). We took Cathay Airlines and stayed in Butterfly on Prat Hotel It's located in Tsim sat shui at Prat Avenue. U can took Airport express and stop at kowloon MTR Station and took Taxi to Prat Avenue (it's cost around HK$37) Butterfly Hotel on Prat is a Boutique Hotel and located in a very convenient area. Nearest MTR is East Tsim sat shui, u can reach there 3 minutes by walk. Butterfly on Prat surrounded by restaurants and shopping area.Overall i will stay here again for my next visit. But it will be better if they also provide room heater since it's very cold at night in winter season.

Here's the room..this is standard room space are enough and they provide desk, wardrobe and a shower (no bath tub).

Hong Kong is Heaven for Shoppers. They have lots of Marc Jacobs Outlet (i bought a cute watch with a good price there) Bally, salvatoe Feragamo, Hermes, Coach, u named it They have all.. With cheaper price (compared with Jakarta). For Cosmetics u can find SASA, BONJOUR and WATSON Everywhere. I prefered SASA store for cosmetics. They have more brands, and i can find lots of KANEBO products here (i'm a fan of KANEBO brand). They also provide sample size in affordable price for Clarins,Clinique,Kose, etc. This is very good, if u're still considering what products suits u, u can buy this sample size. All of those three stores i mentioned above also sell perfumes, i bought 212 VIP 100ml only HK$468. While in Jakarta it's quite pricey almost IDR 700.000. Each SASA Stores sell different products, so u should visit all of them (thanks to my very nice friend who patiently wait for me).

Chinese new year.. Bunny everywhere..since it's a rabbit year..

If u're looking for cheap shopping u can go to Mongkok area they have ladies market there, it's more like Melawai (districts in Jakarta) Where people sell souvenirs, clothes, fake branded stuff, etc. If u're looking for cute boutique u can go to fa yuen streets. Other place is Sham shui po, well this one is more like Glodok (chinese town in jakarta) Lots of electronics here (u can find fake i phone4 here..LOL). Well sadly i couldn't find anything for me here..maybe because it's winter..they only sell winter clothes.

this is ladies market..

For me Hong Kong is more interesting for sightseeing. I went to Disneyland, and it's fun.. Same like other Disneyland (only mickey and minnie can speaks Mandarin here) u can see lots of attraction and musical performance there. They have lots of restaurant here, but if u're moslem u should eat at Indian restaurant (That's the only Halal food i think). From Tsim sat shui we took MTR to nam chong to change the line and took MTR to sunny Bay station and change MTR to Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland resort MTR is cute..it has Disney characters inside. Well in Hong Kong you have to go to star avenue..it's only few blocks from prat avenue..There,u can see city light attraction at night where they play the light with some music as a background..really cool..And also don't forget to go to Victoria peak, u can see Madame tussaud museum there..

It's Hongkong at night token from Victoria Peak..

Cute mickey windows..

me n james bond..ok not a good pics..but at least i just wanna show what u can see in madame tussaud.. ;p

hm..i dunno how to rotate it here..but this is star avenue, a spot to see city light..it's started 8 pm.

On the Third day, we went to MACAW, we took ferry for an hour to reach Macaw. In Macaw u don't need to rent a car. All u need to know is find nearest hotel to ur targeted place to visit. If u're willing to visist senado Square and Ruin in St.Paulo u just need to take a free shuttle bus to grand Lisboa Hotel and took 10 minutes by walk to Senado square. U also can see dancing fountain and gold dragon in Wynn Hotel. From senado square u can get ther by taxi it's around HK$40, It's a must see attraction. And if u wanna go to mall u can go to venetian, just like it's name it's all designed like venetian in Italy. From Wynn hotel i go back to the ferry by wynn shuttle bus and change to venetian free shuttle bus.

It's venetian mall, token from the canoe that i ride inside the mall (actually u can't took pic in the canoe)

Ruin st.Paulo.. feels like in europe..LOL

hm..this is wynn hotel in front of the fountain..but the fountain already finish when i took this pics..*sigh

Overall i like Hong Kong, Maybe for Moslem it's Quite hard to find Halal food there.. even Mc Donald, Yoshinoya and Pizza Hut have pork menu. So it's better to ask first and find Halal logo before u eat in reastaurant.

Cheers..

Tokyo - Japan

I went to Japan on December 2010 with my Mate for Christmas holiday. i spend 4 days there (i can not take an off day more than 2 days..shoo..). Well here's my review.

I took Air asia flight from Jakarta to Tokyo (Haneda Airport) it was transit in Malaysia. I will not recommend connecting flight since it was very exhausting and boring.. (i wait almost 3 hours).I arrived 11 pm in Haneda Airport, We stayed in Comfort hotel near Kiyosumi Shirakawa MRT Station. like in Singapore, you can go everywhere by MRT,but It was quite confusing for a foreigner like me. The MRT is different with Singapore, u have to buy ticket to each destination and almost all signage are written in japanese kanji. (thank God my friend is Japanese so he can translate it to me). I suggest u buy the special combination open ticket daily by Tokyo metro,u don't need to buy ticket anymore unless u change to monorail or other MRT (different company). But if you travel alone you can ask for help to information office next to the gate.

This is me in Haneda MRT Station

Comfort hotel are more like business hotel..almost 90% occupied by Japanese. i only meet 2 foreigners there during my stay. The room is extremely small (my room is bigger than this hotel room) and they provide hanger only instead of drawers (space efficiency).Bath room is even smaller, but cleanliness is excellence.

My second day in Japan, i went to Shibuya. U can took MRT and stop at Shibuya station. Shibuya are famous with it's fashion. I shop a lot in H&M (we don't have H&M in Indonesia) and Donqi Joute (wholesale shop provides everything) I really love Donqi Joute.. cosmetics price here extremely cheap (compared with indonesia price) but for some goods like shawl or socks u can find cheaper in Indonesia (but still depend on the quality). Donqi Joute sells japanese cosmetics where u can't find it outside japan like can make tokyo, Moist labo, KATE, Jill Stuart, etc. Since i love make up.. it's like heaven for me..LOL. Now lets discuss about Harajuku, I took MRT to Meiji jingu mae station. Harajuku is famous with the unique fashion, the most popular place is takeshita street. U can find lots of cheap fashion along the street. Harajuku also more cheaper than shibuya. (i bought boots in shibuya for Y 1000 but in harajuku they sell only Y 980. well not so far different but still..). In Harajuku u also can see lots of young Japanese wear costplay (clothes from anime or manga). This is a very unique place to see in Tokyo. Foods are great (i'm a Japanese food lover,so no problem for me). If u're a moslem i suggested u to go to udon or sushi restaurant or Yoshinoya..LOL.Ramen shop ussually use pork for it's gravy, so it's better to ask first.

That's me in Hachiko monument, it's right in front of Shibuya station

That's shibuya..

this is takeshita street..it's very crowded on saturday

My third day in Japan i went to Asakusa temple, this is the oldest temple in Tokyo (if i'm not mistaken). The scenery are beautiful here and lots of food..(i can not stop eating..) this is very interesting place where i can see what is Japanese Budhist activity. U can buy lots of japanese souvenir here..for a refrigerator magnetic cost around Y 300/item (compare with indonesia it's quite expensive just for a magnetic). From Asakusa i go to miraikan museum to see Asimo robot attraction. hm..i forgeot how much it's cost for the entrance ticket. But it's a must see attraction. From Miraikan i visited Tokyo tower, they said that it's like Eiffel tower..hm..i'm never been to Paris so i can not compared. It has good view from top. but i suggest u go here at night..more romantic.

Food booth in asakusa..

That's Tokyo Tower from far

My last day in Japan i went to Ginza,it's more like a 5th Avenue in NY. it's a high end shopping district. I love Ginza,it has lots of branded shop that i can't found in Indonesia such as Abercrombie, uniqloo, etc. And then go back to Donqi joute in shibuya (i'm in looooveee with this store). I didn't go to Akihabara coz i'm not that into gadget. After another shopping we go back to Haneda airport. I took bath here, they provide that facilities (really love that). We wait for our flights in VIP lounge (my friend is ANA VIP frequent flyer). They have good service and u can sleep here (only if it's not crowded).Overall i love Japan..This is my favorite country..

Ginza in the morning..(most store open 10am)

one cute store i found n i didn't notice i closed my eyes in this pic..*sigh

This is cosmetics corner in donqi joute..YES..they have all..

This one of the stores available in Haneda airport.

Singapore - Bintan

Well, I've oftentimes visit Singapore because of my work duty. So i will not share my regular visit. I will share about my holiday in Singapore and Bintan Island. Well, i lost my camera in Bintan so i will not attached lots of pics here (only pics that i took from my BB).

I went for Holiday on May 2010. Celebrating my mate's Birthday (yes,a person who always traveled with me. We stayed at Siloso Hotel in Sentosa Island, since it's close to Universal Studio Singapore (USS). Well the hotel is not so fancy and i think it's quite expensive..around USD 170/night (that time).Breakfast are great, they have lots of optionals. It took 10 minutes by shuttle bus from hotel to monorail that will take u to USS.

USS it self quite fun (this is my first visit), but not as big as in Japan. And that time it wasn't completely operate, madagascar and jet coaster still not operate. we start from 10am to 5pm, merchandise store are quite expensive (for me) but the good things are they gave u meal voucher and merchandise voucher (means like it or not u have to buy things).

Yep, this the only pics i keep in my bb. But i took lots of pics there on my second visit ;p

After went to USS we went to Casino and play some $1 game. i spent $7 and get $16 from casino..Lucky us. Actually now there is bigger casino in Marina Bay Sands, more luxury and place are awesome. U should take a look if u visit Singapore. Well like other tourists, i went to Singapore for Shopping. Especially Charles & Keith shoes which are way more cheaper than in Indonesia. I usually go to Charles & Keith outlet in Queenstown (in front of IKEA). They always give discounts.

After Singapore i went to Bintan Island. Most of people think Bintan Island owned by Singapore, actually it's still owned by Indonesia (i said still, maybe in the future they will sell it..LOL). Bintan actually a great escape. But since it's close to Singapore, everything are expensive for me as Indonesian citizen..:D (follow Singapore living cost standard). Foods are great and it has beautifull beach (soft brown sands). We stayed in Nirwana Garden Hotel & Resort, It's a nice hotel and good hospitality too.I reccomend this Hotel for u who plan to spend holiday in Bintan Island

That's me in Nirwana hotel & Resort Private Beach.

It took 1 hour by Ferry from Singapore Tanah merah harbor. and Hotel also provide shuttle bus. So i recommend u to book hotel first before u come to Bintan. It was a happy holiday..but at the end of my trip..I lost my camera on my way home to Jakarta. So sad :(
